This section is an attempt to "solve" Perihelion via the myriad implications and statements present within Perihelion (the meme event discord).
The sections can be parsed as follows:
* All interactions and facts that are "atomic" (they cannot be further disassembled).
* Any and all implications / unstated ideas that strongly imply the existence or absence of certain features from Perihelion's setting or story. These are distinct from story implications, they are ideas that can be assumed from the way we as a fandom interacted with Perihelion.
* Undiscussed topics that remain flexible. These can be considered as open space that can be used to glue together the aforementioned atoms together.

For all the stuff.

See Timeline also.

Also, below are in-fandom universe works of fiction and artists.

Master Post[edit | edit source]

This section is an attempt to "solve" Perihelion via the myriad implications and statements present within Perihelion (the meme event discord).

The sections can be parsed as follows:

  • All interactions and facts that are "atomic" (they cannot be further disassembled).
  • Any and all implications / unstated ideas that strongly imply the existence or absence of certain features from Perihelion's setting or story. These are distinct from story implications, they are ideas that can be assumed from the way we as a fandom interacted with Perihelion.
  • Undiscussed topics that remain flexible. These can be considered as open space that can be used to glue together the aforementioned atoms together.

Truths[edit | edit source]

The Death March Division's Final Stand occurs in S2E10. Reeve's death is heavily implied here. The event's in-universe chronology is unstated. Reeve can do dreaming.

Salvador, or Sol, eventually becomes an AI.

The Gronks have already consumed a sun when they arrive "on" earth.

Humans wanted to invade Nomalis for resources, or at least this is the motive that they (and the show) seems to have made clear.

Tamnayal, Kallisto, Singred[edit | edit source]

Kallisto grows up with Gronks. Some 40+ years pass. Tam and Kallisto have enough knowledge of each other to recognise one another their first physical meeting. Tam and Kal have a "psychic and electronic connection." Singred is heavily implied to have died as part of first contact between (their known) humans and Gronks. However, the three all knew each other at the same time.

Emile and Dundra[edit | edit source]

Emile is devoted to Dundra. Dundra is a Gronk, but this is revealed (implied from comment wording that this was revealed to the audience, not only to characters in the story) after a period of time in which "early radio communications" are implied to have taken place. Emile, who "fought so hard" to not become a person like Connie, is interpreted by viewers to have nearly done so due to propaganda. In response it is said that Dundra entered the picture at the exact right time. Emile and Dundra attempt to execute some kind of plan, which either fails completely or is chaotic in nature. Whatever the goal of their plan actually was, they fail to escape something in the same episode in which they execute it.

The Tome[edit | edit source]

The Tome . . .

  • was given to Tamnayal by the LPC
  • seems to have swayed Tamnayal to study it instead of training Emile at certain points
  • was taken to Kallisto by Tamnayal during "the" masquerade

The Masquerade[edit | edit source]

Tamnayal was absent for around 3 hours during "the masquerade."

Sigred was absent during "the masquerade."

At some point during a masquerade fire, Tamnayal took the Tome to Kallisto. Emile was in danger because of the fire during this time.

The Prison Arc[edit | edit source]

The Prison Arc . . .

  • Is at least 8 episodes long (implied to be longer than)
  • Neither Glenn nor Ricket appear in this part of the story

"Master"[edit | edit source]

The Master is either upset with or overwhelmed by Skrunglo when he drinks "the green potion," or they would be if this ever happened. The Master is either involved in teaching or wants to teach Emile in Season 1. They are, if meme taken at face value, captured by the LPC in season 4.

The Compound Planet[edit | edit source]

  • The guy who Emile and Dundra "ruin to get his banquet invites" is seen in a shot of "everyone" walking into the compound planet in Season 4.

Other Production Notes[edit | edit source]

Cassette Futurism is aesthetically involved first in "Cassidy". This is followed by an extended period of time where the aesthetic is, again, not used. There are at least 4 seasons out with 2 seasons to conclude the story on the way. Luki's comment settles strongly on 5 seasons, with 6 and 7 to come following the Halloween Special.

Possibilities, Implications[edit | edit source]

Tamnayal's ability to dream is not plot-central. (Comment about Tam potentially being Reeve's teacher.) The nature of Hyperspace - or even if it exists at all - is not strongly important to Perihelion's narrative. (See Peri's reference to "Whalesong")

It is implied that "the group (Tam, Kal, Sig) splintering up" was somewhat tragic.

The Solar System and Human Habitation[edit | edit source]

The other planets of the Solar System either no longer exist or are politically unimportant to Perihelion's narrative.

Unknowns[edit | edit source]

The following remain unexplained mechanics as pertains to the posted memes.

  • Dreams
  • Psionics
  • Technology, particularly Electronics
  • FTL, Stasis, Cloning, Time Traversal
  • The Tome
  • Other aliens (Particularly the potentially unique mechanics of their physiology)
    • (As an example, consider the Mimics from "Edge of Tomorrow")

Other[edit | edit source]

It should be noted that any number of the above facts and implications may be obfuscated by any number of storytelling devices such as dream sequences, alternate universes/timelines (particularly "what-could-have-been" story threads), virtual space/simulations, prophetic visions, anachronic storytelling, etc.

Workshopping[edit | edit source]

Here be discussion

Training on the dyson sphere seems to involve rats and shapeshifting of some nature.

Salvador was not always sentient (maybe not always sentient ai) lower peoples as part of a twist

emile and kallisto interact very little but exhibit a gothel rapunzel vibe

tying the dyson into the artificial sun also allows a syndicate tie-in

dundra and emile reunite.

banquet AND masquerade

tamnayal's scene 1 involves "Kallisto" and "the rest of the story" on fire.

dundra got mild contrarian vibes.

Dundra showing up in some way helped Emile "change their views about the war".

The Syndicate in some way gave the appearance of wanting others to join their (cultlike) movement after conveying that Salvador is accepting of all species.

It's suggested by Wink that Dundra potentially being held in The Compound is tantamount to a plot hole because he isn't human. But then Flippers says they writers have been pretty good about keeping plotlines tight, and wonders if maybe there's something going on "between the LPC and the Syndicate", meaning that those two organizations being in cahoots means nonhumans or at least Gronks like dundra are more likely to be kept in the compound.

discussion, FROM discussion:

The reasons for the Gronk invasion are not explicitly outlined in the show (yet. They are found in the art book). I mention this is (maybe) because they refuse to ever speak ill of their sun, which is what is causing their problems.

"Salvador called to us, Salvador CHOSE us, Salvador promised us prosperity that our own Tristian was unable to provide!" is a quote from the rally speech at the/a Gronk launch of some kind, implying either that other Gronks are receiving Salvador's call, or Dundra received the call without the order/suggestion to betray their people, and passed that along.

Unintegrated[edit | edit source]

Humans were on radio comms with Dundra and only later realise they are a Gronk. (Presumably, this is also a reveal to the audience)

Several pages have ooc notes that are unresolved. They are:
